The Sid Richardson Museum is excited to offer a new online opportunity for creativity this summer. With Virtual Summer Art Camp, you can expect:

• Live interactions with staff educators and other campers
• Virtual visits to the Museum galleries through video tours
• Daily lessons in mediums including painting, drawing, and sculpture
• All necessary art supplies and tools conveniently packaged and ready for you!

AGES

10-12  years old

COST

$15 for one child (includes registration & Art Kit)

Additional children from the same household may be added at a discounted rate of $10 per child.

SCHEDULE

Each camp session will run Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Every day of camp will include live virtual lessons, online interactions with camp staff and other students, as well as self-paced work offline. Campers will need to be logged into our online platform every day for the live component of camp. Recorded demonstrations can be provided after the daily session has ended. Our Online Summer Art Camp culminates with a virtual exhibition of campers artwork, which kids, parents and families will be able to view and share online.

SUPPLIES

Each camper will need a pencil, scissors, and paper towels or rags for cleanup.  All other necessary supplies and tools for that week’s session will be included in your Art Kit! Each participating child needs their own Art Kit. Staff will pack Art Kits while wearing gloves and a mask. 

Art Kits can be mailed to your home for a $15 fee or curb-side picked up from the Sid Richardson Museum at no extra cost. Pick up times will be arranged a week before your scheduled session.

PLATFORM

All of the live lessons and virtual interactions will take place through password protected video calls. Pre-recorded instruction and demonstration videos can be accessed through provided links. Internet access required. Camera and email required to submit work to participate in the culminating online exhibition.  

REFUND POLICY

Your registration and tuition reserve your child’s place in a camp session. You may cancel and get a refund any time before your Art Kit has been received.
